Actually at 9:30am it really wasn’t as busy as you’d think a city would be downtown. I was surprised by the lack of people around at that time of day. There was still a little traffic but more like the traffic you’d see in a smaller town, except with large buildings and buses everywhere.
Here is an HDR photo looking straight down one of the streets of downtown Chicago. Sorry I don’t know the city enough to know which street but its one right by Millennium Park.
